Cincinnati Museum Center

About

The Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal is an Art Deco masterwork that attracts viewers from around the world enticed by its headquarters and gallery building. The beautiful terminal is home to five major Cincinnati cultural organizations: the Cincinnati History Museum, the Cinergy Children’s Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science, the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX Theater, and the Cincinnati Historical Society Library.

Location

The Museum is located within Cincinnati’s famous Union Terminal Station building, constructed in 1933, in the heart of the Great Depression. The Cincinnati History Museum features re-creations of the Cincinnati Public Landing wharf of the mid-1800s, including a 94-foot side-wheel steamboat.

Energy Solutions

The Cincinnati Museum Center houses some of the city’s most precious artifacts as well as traveling exhibits from all over the world. The building had many challenges because of its complex design, construction materials, and its age and Innovative Energy Solutions was selected to provide and install a system to protect these historical treasures. The I/A Series System controls and monitors all major HVAC systems, the OMNIMAX Theater, and each of the Changing Exhibit Areas and IES continues to provide ongoing service and support for the customer for each of these critical systems.
