Duke Energy Provides Chilled Water for the Downtown Cincinnati Community. There are two District Cooling Plants with the Main Plant located at 4th at

Walnut and the Secondary Plant located in the Cincinnati Convention Center. These plants provide Chilled Water under the streets of Cincinnati through a network of large pipes and a fiber optic network infrastructure.

Energy Solutions

These plants and all associated customers are networked together and all controlled by the I/A Series and Network 8000 Building Automation Systems installed and serviced by IES. The main chilled water loops and each individual customer delivery stations are continually monitored and tracked while numerous Chillers, pumps, and auxiliary equipment are all automatically controlled by these Building Automation Systems to meet their customer demands.
